Am 12. Februar 2016 wurden die 2. Olympischen Winterspiele der Jugend in Norwegen eröffnet.
Schon seit 11. Januar wurde eine Fackel durch das Land getragen, die am 12. Februar Lillehammer erreichte.
Für viele der Stationen des Laufs, aber nicht alle, gab es einen Sonderstempel vor Ort. Über die komplette Sammlung aller 22 Orte verfügte nur die Versandstelle in Oslo.

There have been used 22 special torch route postmarks, but only a part of them in the overnight city, as described above. The complete set of all Torch Relay postmarks was only available from the Philatelic sale point in Oslo (Postens frimerketjeneste) .
